The Liechtenstein Investment Fund Association (Liechtensteinischer Anlagefondsverband, "LAFV"), was founded in September 2000 by all investment fund management companies registered in the Principality of Liechtenstein. The LAFV is represented by an Executive Committee comprising the following members: Matthias Voigt (Chair), Natalie Flatz, Lars Inderwildi, Thomas Jahn, Peter Kaiser, Erich Müller, Urs Müller and Matthias Trösch.
While the Association itself does not engage in any business activities, it is LAFV's mission to promote the development of Liechtenstein as a fund location and to represent the interests of the Liechtenstein investment fund industry at home and abroad. This is, in particular, to be effected through the active and ongoing development of the legislative platform in the fund sector on a needs-oriented basis. These goals are pursued in cooperation with the respective authorities and the professional associations of the Liechtenstein financial services industry.
Special attention is paid to the development and maintenance of contacts with governmental and supervisory authorities as well as with other associations and communities of interest within the financial services sector, in order to coordinate efforts on matters of common concern and benefit from synergies. The fact that all Liechtenstein investment fund management companies have so far joined LAFV as well as the close cooperation with the FMA Financial Market Authority enables LAFV to represent its members' interests effectively at the fund location Liechtenstein.
