External memberships

The LAFV Liechtenstein Investment Fund Association is a member of the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA), the umbrella organization of European investment fund associations, to which a further 26 national organizations and companies also belong. EFAMA was founded in 1974 under the name FEFSI and, unlike Liechtenstein, has also included asset managers since 2004.

EFAMA is actively involved in the European legislative process. Other services include the compilation of Europe-wide statistics, the publication of position papers and reports and the monitoring of political developments at European level in the investment fund sector.

The LAFV is actively involved in EFAMA and is also active in several committees and working groups.

The LAFV Liechtenstein Investment Fund Association is a member of the International Investment Funds Association (IIFA), an association that provides a forum for the global exchange of information and cooperation to promote the investment fund industry. www.iifa.ca
