Investment fund operations in Liechtenstein are governed by the Act on Investment Undertakings (IUG) of 19 May 2005, Liechtenstein Law Gazette (LLG) 2005 no. 156, LLG 1996 no. 89, and the respective provision dated 23 August 2005 (IUV), LLG 2005 no. 179, LLG 1996 no. 90 (see Acts). In accordance with Art. 53 para. 1 of the Act on Investment Undertakings, the Financial Market Authority monitors implementation of this act and provision, as well as compliance with the regulations and takes appropriate measures necessary for these purposes.
