Liechtenstein and Italy sign double taxation agreement

Within the framework of a virtually conducted "Signing Ceremony", Head of Government and Minister of Finance Daniel Risch signed the double taxation agreement (DTA) between Liechtenstein and Italy together with his Italian counterpart Giancarlo Giorgetti on 12 July 2023. The DTA will enter into force after completion of the domestic legislative procedures.
The agreement regulates the elimination of double taxation in cross-border situations. It is based on the international standard of the OECD and takes into account the results of the OECD/G20 BEPS project (Base Erosion and Profit Shifting), which is directed against the reduction and shifting of profits in a cross-border context.
